Camp Valhalla Rules

  1. Check-in time is at 3:00 pm (please no early check ins).

  2. Check out time is at 11:00 am.

  3. Note – potable water is not available and a boil water advisory is in place.

  4. Please check in with Camp Valhalla staff at the office upon arrival.

  5. Be bear and wildlife aware. Do not leave any food unattended, store all food in a vehicle or camper, and put all garbage in dumpsters nightly. A fed bear is a dead bear, and we want to protect these magnificent local creatures. If you are tent camping and need a non-refrigerated place to store food safely please talk to your friendly camp host.

  6. You have been assigned a specific site. If you wish to move, please check in with the office. We will do our best to accomodate your request, but moving may not be possible due to maintenance or other reservations.

  7. Please do not park your vehicle, trailer, or boat in an adjacent site. Use of more than one site will result in additional charges.

  8. Extra tents or camping units, are charged a fee of $43, and must be within site boundary.

  9. Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only. Campfires are prohibited during times of open fire bans, issued by the Province of British Columbia. Camp Valhalla also reserves the right to issue a campfire ban on our grounds, even if a regional fire ban is not in effect.

  10. Quiet time is from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am, every day.

  11. Children must be supervised.

  12. Please limit speed to 10 km/hr within all areas of Camp Valhalla.

  13. There is no lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk.

  14. Kids using the pump track must wear appropriate biking helmets.

  15. Littering of any kind is not permitted. No water balloons (to prevent bits of balloon plastic polluting pristine Summit Lake). No Spitz on the ground please. No cigarette butts on the ground or in the fire pits.

  16. Garbage, recycling and compost (including dairy, meat and bones) are to be disposed of properly in the designated waste area. See posted signage. Compostable bags are available (free!) at the office.

  17. Guests using fully serviced sites must use a sewer elbow to minimize the risk of sewer line backup. These devices are available for purchase at the Camp Store.

  18. The laundry room is open 24/7. Change and supplies are available at the Camp Store. Please do not leave your laundry unattended. We are not responsible for accidents or theft.

  19. Amenities are for guests only (including sani dump).

  20. No fireworks (they scare wildlife and dogs, and not all campers are fireworks fans).

  21. Generators allowed from 9am-11am and from 4pm-7pm. We ask that you please be courteous and check in with your neighbours first.

  22. Camp Valhalla reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason, including those listed above.

  23. Camp Valhalla is not responsible for loss, injury, or death due to accident, fire, or theft.
